Welcome to Fempreneur (Formerly Empress Avenue)
Fempreneur.com is a blog and podcast by Talia Beckett Davis featuring public relations tips, products and services for female entrepreneurs.
Hi. I’m Talia Beckett Davis – publicist, lifestyle blogger, mom, and marketing to women expert. I’m also the author of the book FEMPRENEUR: Create your memorable brand image and become an unstoppable female entrepreneur.
Vancouver, B.C. is home, but I’ve had the pleasure of living abroad in Finland and London, UK. I have more Christmas cheer than most (I go ALL out for the holidays!) Take a look at this Great Gatsby holiday event I organized for my PR team.
I absolutely love Pink. (I’m the Owner of award winning agency Pink Pearl PR). I adopted my rescue pup “Hank” in August 2013 and “Duke” in December 2014. In 2016, I became a mom to my son “Joey” and I love to share updates on our family adventures. I write everything down in fancy little notebooks – organizing my thoughts keeps me sane.
I started this lifestyle blog as Empress Avenue to connect with and to inspire “fabulous females” across the globe. In 2020, this blog was re-branded to Fempreneur; an outlet that celebrates new product endeavors, promotes career advancements and highlights women’s fashion and lifestyle. It’s also home to my business podcast, which is available on iTunes, Spotify and iHeartRadio. The podcast features female entrepreneurs from across the globe and highlights them on this blog and on the women in public relations magazine.
I felt a calling to give back to my industry and help other women in my field succeed. I started the Organization of Canadian Women in Public Relations and one year later I launched the Organization of American Women in Public Relations (womeninpr.com). Through this network, I created meaningful relationships with women in public relations and media professionals. I work hard to help others move into leadership positions and get a seat at the boardroom table.
I’ve spent years studying online marketing trends and learning from many leading business owners. What worked in marketing a few years ago, doesn’t work today. You need to stay on top of marketing trends as a female entrepreneur to grow your sales and learn from others that have the brand success you desire.
I have a passion for helping female entrepreneurs build successful businesses and I’ve made it my personal mission to help YOU succeed.
I created this marketing education platform so that I can help other female entrepreneurs save valuable time building a business. I’ve spent years figuring out what works and what doesn’t work when it comes to making an impact through marketing strategies. I’ve documented it all and I’m sharing it with other female entrepreneurs through my online challenges, workshops and programs.
As a female entrepreneur, it’s critical to consider how you should invest in your business in order to keep building your brand. Investing in your own expertise is one of the fastest ways to help your company remain attractive to your target audience.
I get it, you’re busy running your business and you need a step by step plan to help you keep growing. The benefits of keeping on top of the latest public relations trends will have a big impact on your bottom line.
You can access our courses and programs from anywhere across the globe. We are excited to have you join us online and we look forward to being a part of your business success story. Your dream business requires bold action and I encourage you to take the next step right here as a fellow female entrepreneur.
I’m a strong believer that if you truly want to find success in business and life, you need to surround yourself with a community of other successful female entrepreneurs. Maybe you can relate?
As the CEO of Pink Pearl PR and the Founder of Women in PR North America, I wanted a personal platform to showcase all of the products and services I love, so Fempreneur.com was created! Working as a publicist, I’ve worked with major fashion magazines, kids style magazines and top bloggers. I’ve also had the opportunity to work with admired brands such as Lorna Jane, Lija Style, Guzzie and Guss, Stork Craft, Babes with Babies, MiniJoops, Pacific Baby, Intelligent Potty and many others. Over the years this blog has become a community of like-minded female entrepreneurs, who want to build a memorable brand and create value in everything they do.
This blog serves as a forum to share personal lifestyle tips, new products I love for my family and events in my community. I also love traveling for business and with my family as much as possible! If you want to work together, please email me at Pink Pearl PR { talia @ pinkprfirm (dot) com }
