A Shopping Guide For Moms: New Westminster

One of my favourite ways to spend an afternoon is strolling along historic Columbia street in New Westminster. It’s full of hidden gems – from antiques, trendy coffee shops and home decor boutiques – there is so much to explore.

We started our day walking through Pier Park and headed up the overpass to Columbia Street.

I had to see what’s new in Lofty Living – one of my favourite little shops! They get new pieces in stock regularly and I couldn’t wait to see what’s in store. Our house is actually filled with decor from this little boutique.

Next, we headed up the hill on 6th Street to Brick & Mortar Living, stopping to admire all of the little trinkets and local artisan designs in store. Even my husband was in awe of the handmade decor.

We headed back down the hill towards Antique Alley, past Columbia Street, and walked along Front Street for a coffee at Old Crow Coffee Co.

We continued our stroll to the boardwalk and explored the River Market (formerly known as New Westminster Quay). Finally it was time to relax and we finished the day with a quick bite at Wally’s Burgers.
