Why I Wrote the Book, Fempreneur

I’ve been working hard on my book Fempreneur for years now, and it’s finally been released! I decided to stop procrastinating, let go of my perfectionist tendencies, and hit publish.

You can buy your copy of FEMPRENEUR: Create your memorable brand image and become an unstoppable female entrepreneur online here.

While I’ve been writing, some people have asked me questions like “why would you give away all your secrets” or “aren’t you worried that you’ll lose business if you publish your strategies?”

I totally understand why someone might ask these questions. I’m also not worried about sharing my “secrets.” In fact, I’m going to share some of them today.

I’d love to personally connect with you on Instagram and you can find me on my handle: @taliadavispr

Why Did I Write a Book?

Anyone who knows me or my work knows I’m passionate about supporting female entrepreneurs. That’s why I created Fempreneur.com as a blog and podcast years ago! I’ve always wanted to write a book, but it’s very challenging to get your ideas organized. I’m guilty of having too many ideas, so I think I have a few books inside of me ready to be shared.

I know how difficult it can be for female entrepreneurs to get the recognition they deserve. I know how tempting it can be to throw in the towel when you don’t see the results you want.

With my book, I hope to encourage female entrepreneurs like you to keep going! I want to give you the tools you need to build a successful brand, stand out from the crowd, and achieve your business goals.

With Fempreneur, I reveal my brand-building secrets for ambitious female entrepreneurs that want to build a business that rewards them with loyal customers for years to come.

I share tried and tested strategies that inspire and encourage female entrepreneurs to act on their big idea. The book will not only teach you how to grow your brand, but it also demonstrates how you can stand out from the competition and develop the confidence to discover new opportunities.

My own formula for success as a female entrepreneur is shared through the in-depth process of building a strong foundation, attracting aligned buyers, and becoming a purpose-driven leader.

I illustrate how businesswomen can be successful by learning the best practices to market their personal brand and create a community of raving fans.

Throughout the book you can read snippets of my journey as a successful female entrepreneur; I talk about the entire process of promoting a brand while incorporating my personal story of building my own status as an expert in the field of public relations.

By the time you finish reading, you will feel more motivated as a female entrepreneur, and proud to showcase your accomplishments. Even if you already have an existing business, you will learn how to re-energize your brand image and find new ways to monetize it.

Fempreneur is more than just a book for female entrepreneurs; it’s mentorship through the wisdom shared by a successful business owner, Talia Beckett Davis (that’s me).

As female entrepreneurs, we need to stick together and lift each other up. There’s room for all of us at the top — that’s why I don’t worry about sharing my secrets or giving advice.

My Top Book-Writing Tips

Every entrepreneur has a story inside of them, and that story deserves to be told.

If you’ve always wanted to tell your story, here’s your sign to get started, along with some tips to help you take the plunge:

Tip 1: Buy (and Carry) a Notebook

I carry a notebook with me wherever I go, and I encourage you to do the same. I never know when a creative idea might strike, and I like to be prepared so I can jot it down.

Writing a book gave me a way to organize my ideas from the last several years. If I didn’t have all my notebooks handy (or take notes on my phone to add later), it would have been a lot harder for me to combine my thoughts into a book designed to inspire women from all walks of life.

Tip 2: Identify Your Core Message

Think about what you can teach your reader. What problem might they be facing, and how can your story help them solve it? What wisdom do you have to share?

Everyone has a story, and every story has value. Don’t fall into the trap of thinking you’re boring or don’t have anything interesting to say — I guarantee that’s not true!

Tip 3: Be Yourself

Finally, don’t try to alter your voice. Your readers want to hear from you, not the person you’re trying to imitate. Write in your own unique style and let your voice and personality shine through so people can get to know the real you!
