Tell us about your brand! – ‘Pink Betsy’ is a classic 1963 Pink Buick Skylark convertible car. She has appeared in music videos, on television (Love It or List It Vancouver) and at weddings.
Describe your most recent business success and tell us about your next big goal. – Pink Betsy appeared in April 2014 on the W Network in an episode of ‘Love It or List It Vancouver’ with Bachelorette Jillian Harris & actor Todd Talbot. Pink Betsy’s cameo was filmed at Stanley Park in Vancouver, British Columbia.
Give us the ‘inside scoop’ – what does a day in your business life look like? – Pink Betsy’s not shy; she enjoys being photographed amidst attractive settings. Currently, she cruises about Vancouver looking for the perfect cherry blossom tree by which to take a photo. And during a Vancouver Spring, it’s not difficult locating beautiful cherry blossom trees which go along with Pink Betsy’s sleek pink body.
What types of customers are in your business ‘pink book’ and who are you looking to connect with? – Pink Betsy’s clients include newlyweds walking out of the chapel under a shower of rose petals to movie directors seeking a unique car with a memorable look for their next film piece. Pink Betsy also enjoys working with photographers with fashion photoshoots; models & Pink Betsy can be an eye-popping combination. These are the clients in Pink Betsy’s Pink Book & she’s always looking to meet more!
If you were not doing this job, what is your plan B? – Still working on Plan B! Until then, Pink Betsy is quite enjoyable to be involved with.
Do you think it’s important to love what you do, or make good money? – It’s more important to love what you do.
Is owning your own business as glamorous as it sounds? – Yes & no; if the parts of it you love outweigh the frustrations which can come along, then it’s worth it.
Where did you get your education? – I went to university, but I feel real education is travel, learning about different cultures & living life.
What celebrity do you look at for style inspiration and why? – I’ve always enjoyed the rock ‘n roll style of the Rolling Stones.
What are your favorite stores to shop at for the perfect work wardrobe? – Vintage stores; I love vintage style by independent designers.
What are your plans for expansion? – I just plan to keep doing what I’m doing. I can only drive 1 Pink Betsy at a time!
What is your favorite travel hot spot? – Kauai, Hawaii.
Can you offer any advice for new entrepreneurs? – Do what you love & turn it into a business.
