One thing is for sure; experiential retail is the future for women in business and I had the opportunity to experience all of Freda’s gorgeous designs first-hand. I hosted an in-store wine and cheese reception for my fellow Women in PR and media in Toronto and the evening did not disappoint.
We had the opportunity to try on some of the gorgeous outfits and shop while we built new connections and enjoyed the wine and cheese. From special occasion gowns to the perfect suit for your next big meeting, you will find what you need at Freda’s at every price point. The black dress I’m wearing is from Jones New York.
Freda’s specializes in manufacturing high end ladieswear made from the finest European fabrics. I was very pleased to find a new, high quality pinstripe suit! Watch my Instagram for photos. They had the same suit designed in polka dots (pictured below) and it’s on my wish list for when I return to Toronto.
We were offered a full behind-the-scenes tour of the manufacturing facility and Freda, who is the Founder and Designer, shared how she started the business making uniforms! It was very inspiring to learn how hard she worked to build a business that employs her entire family. Freda’s daughters and husband also work on the business and they are opening a new location in the Toronto financial district in June 2020.
Freda’s has become the designer of choice for many local and national television personalities alike. Among them are; Susan Haye from Global Television, Christine Bentley from CTV news, Erin Davis from CHFI, Tonya Lee Williams from The Young and the Restless, Anne-Marie Sweeney from The Weather Network, and many more.
Overall, I was very impressed by the store, our shopping experience, and Freda’s team. I will definitely be back for that suit! Thank you to everyone that joined me at the Freda’s shopping event. If you are interested in hosting an event at your location, please get in touch.
