We’d probably all like to have a bit more time to relax and get pampered. More often than not we are simply too busy to spend our mornings getting ready. I was having one of those days – I dashed out the door chipped-nailed and stressed on my way to a very important client meeting later that afternoon when I discovered Yaletown’s best kept secret, Luxe Beauty Lounge. I was thankfully able to get an appointment for a manicure and full body massage to get ready to go to my meeting feeling confident and focused.
This salon is adorable and the owner, Michael Gordon, has pulled out all the bells and whistles. If you are walking up Davie Street you will see the large, and very sparkly, chandelier that frames the space through the large bright windows. The salon has a plush bench seat with an abundance of pink throw pillows for pedicures. This space is perfect for wedding parties as it makes for gorgeous photos.
To start, I was booked in for the Luxe Organic Body Massage ($50 for 30 minutes) and was treated to a “heavenly state of bliss” with Eminence Organics Body Oil. Next, I was booked in for a decadent chocolate treat-mint manicure ($50) and was feeling, and smelling, amazing. My entire experience at this salon was extremely professional and thorough; my manicurist ensured my hands looked fabulous for the rest of my day. Colour wise, I chose a pink pearl shade from the selection of OPI products in the salon.
I’d thoroughly recommend Luxe Beauty Lounge as an effective way of keeping hands looking their best when life gets busy – the perfect post-work (or pre-meeting!) treat.
